George Hartman is Sherman Dolman. He is German and 75 years old. He previously worked as a blacksmith, but now works as a painter. He says, “The worst depression was in the late seventies. Far worse than the present. We lived on sorgum and corn-meal. Clothes sent from the east and we went barefooted most of the time. Grasshoppers caused this great depression. We used to see slough hay about six feet tall and is something we don’t see today.” My impression of the interviewee based on what he said, is that Sherman Dolman has a lot to say and does a pretty good job of doing it.

Rosaline Smith is interveiwing George Dodge. He's an mason and lost his wife, Martha, during the Great Depression. He has a bacholor son named John and a Bull god named Mickie. He stated that "We hear a great deal of fussing about how hard times are these days but it isn't half as bad as when I was young. Why this depression is nothing compared with the depression right after the Civil War. In 1876 there were the hardest times I ever saw. That was THE great depression. There was hardly any money in circulation. No business was being done. Men worked for fifty cents a day -- sometimes less -- if they could get any work." My opioion on this person is that he had gone through alot in his life including losing his wife and going through the Great Depression. He knows whats going on.
